CNY passed really quickly and I found myself in yet another crazy pile of work.
But I still very much enjoy slacking and I just spent 40 mins doing this...
(For the record, I shall make this post for that, since I don't know what to update for Feb anyway.)
Eeyore: “It’s not much of a tail, but I’m sort of attached to it.”
Known to be a pessimistic, gloomy, sardonic donkey, but Eeyore himself doesn't think so of himself. In defence of Eeyore and everyone who are being accused of being pessimistic but don't think so, we simply over think.
It's part of wisdom, but ironically, Eeyore doesn't have much expectations of himself, thus he keeps most of his opinions to himself. That said, he enjoys being gloomy to a certain extent, which I definitely relate to.
Lastly, Eeyore is a reliable friend and because of his gloominess, he appreciates every little thing his friends do for him, especially when his tail is missing.
3 Eeyore quotes for everyone:
1) "A little consideration, a little thought for others, makes all the difference. Or so the say."
Because as inherent as selfishness is, so is the desire for selflessness.
2) "It's snowing still," said Eeyore gloomily.
"So it is."
"And freezing."
"Is it?"
"Yes," said Eeyore. "However," he said, brightening up a little, "we haven't had an earthquake lately."
Because there is always a little optimism in pessimism and we always like to make bad things sound worse than they really are.
3) "Thanks for noticing me."
Because the need for acknowledgment is underlying in almost every action we make. A little attention you give to someone can go a long way.
Thanks for noticing me. :)
Challenge: Post a picture of a character you can relate most to and tag your friends.
The only thing that is different.. is that I changed. I no longer just keep things to myself, and I definitely have expectations of myself, though I don't work hard to achieve them, hah.
And I aren't as pessimistic as before.
Is that a good thing?
